The story of MinigolfPark begins with a 7-year-old boy who was enchanted by minigolf while on holiday in Slovakia and started playing competitively in Olomouc at the age of 11. This happened on October 17, 1989 - it was so revolutionary that the old regime in the country lasted only a month...

He helped operate the relocated Olomouc course in the summer of 1997 (despite major floods). In the same year, he discovered a devastated minigolf course in Ostrava at the local university dormitories, and a year later, he and his friend began repairing and operating the course (in 2001, an official minigolf tournament was held there with what was probably the first online web broadcast in the world).
In 2004, he moved to Prague, where he worked as a tax advisor. However, since childhood he had one dream - a network of minigolf courses throughout the country - indoor minigolf! An impossible madness...

And yet - in 2010, the only indoor minigolf course in the Czech Republic opens - Minigolf Butovice. Since then, thousands of people have come to minigolf every year, a tournament with the largest prize money in the history of minigolf has taken place here, dozens of birthday parties have been organized and the first children have started participating in minigolf clubs. In August 2018, minigolf moved from Butovice to the Kotva department store and then in 2024 it will be anchored in Maniny in Holešovice, where everything continues.

That 7-year-old boy was me. My name is Tomáš. I have been playing minigolf as a competitive player for over 30 years, I am the president of the Czech Minigolf Association, a coach and founder of the Yamka minigolf club, which has already raised several successful Czech representatives of this sport.
